Advantages of An Access Control System

1  Know who and when someone enters your building.
2  Easier to use than conventional keys and locks.
3  See who is at the door and be able to let them in from your desk, & talk to them if necessary. This can also be done remotely.
4  Disable lost or stolen access keys.
5  Keys cannot be copied.
6  Doors can be automatically unlocked and relocked at scheduled times.
7   Keyed locks wear out and make it hard unlock the lock. Also they can freeze up. This is not so with electronic keys.
8   Gates can be opened either remotely or on timers
9   Individual users can be given access to certain doors or all doors.
10 With strike style locks when the power is off the doors are automatically locked.
